The Fake Mace Place

The Setting

Palpy

Palpy confers with Amidala in a pick-up scene shot in 1998. This is the only scene where we get our beloved FAKE MACE.

Fake Mace1

See!!! It's him! Or it's not really him. You thought we were on drugs, but that clearly IS FAKE MACE!

Fake Mace 2

Stand ub and be counted my fake jedi! Stand-ins deserve the spotlight too!

Where is FAKE MACE?

You can see Fake Mace at the end of the film as the Jedi Knights follow Senator Palaptine off the Republic Cruiser (see photo to the left.). We see Ki-Adi-Mundi and Evan Piell (the pink Yoda looking jedi) and the Indian Jedi Woman and then we see Mace Windu. But it's not! It's FAKE MACE!! He's a hell of a lot younger and taller and in better shape than Sam Jackson!

Who plays FAKE MACE?

As Jar Jar would say, my don't know. If you have any information on the awesome statuesque actor that is Fake Mace, you will could recieve a reward of the widescreen bootleg copy of THE PHANTOM MENACE, given to us as a gift and not bought on the streets of New York by a bootlegger We must find out WHY WHY WHY and we want to ask him!

Why is there a FAKE MACE?

We all know what a perfectionist George Lucas is! You know that most shots in the movie are digitally altered so that he could get that "perfect take." For example, if George didn`'t like Natalie Portman's expression on one scene but liked Jake Lloyd's acting in that same scene, he'd just get the disgruntled ILM employs to remove Natalie from a scene where he did like her expression and dump her in the one he didn't. Pretty cool, eh?
SO WHY DOESN'T HE JUST GET THE ILM'ERS TO DROP SAMS FACE OVER THIS FAKE MACE!! We know that there were pickup shots as late as summer of 1998 being shot at Leavesden. The first picture to the left illustrates that point. But during those pick up scenes, Samuel L. Jackson was busy making a movie. When the hell isn't he in a movie! So voila! We get FAKE MACE. This monumental scene also marks the appearance of Puffy Faced Obi-Wan, Long Haired Jake Lloyd, and Fake Sio Bibble.
